We made Dragzine again!

nice article guys, and congrats on running good.

Is that the motor that comes in the older evo's? Got a few local guys with some BAD street cars.

"The season wasn’t without its lumps though, as during the New England Dragway Lucas Oil race, a dropped valve seat hung a valve open, destroying the piston and turning the aluminum rod into a 10,000 RPM saw blade in what Tony described as a “freak catastrophic engine failure.”
We had that happen to us at Joliet last year. Catastrophic engine failure is a great analogy.

Seat fallout or collapsed wrist pin seem to really do their job of distruction. Nice article bob kinda helps make it all worth while when u do all that work and somebody gives it recognition. Congrats on how well the car is running also.

If by "older Evo's" you mean Evo 8's and 9's,....then the answer is "no". The engine that Bob and us use came in Eagle Talons, Plymouth Lasers, and Mitsubishi Eclipses from 1990-1992. They're "labeled" as 4G63's from Mitsubishi, but the Evo 8 and 9 engines are really quite different than the older stuff we both use.
