Just read on another site that longtime crew member Russ Williams of Ambrose/Argenta/Huettman J/AA racing fame passed away last nite (Mon)--If you ever met Russ he was probably one of the nicest guys you ever would meet---RIP Russ--Dick & Sue Ullrich

I'm sorry to hear about Russ-he won class in stock at the 1960 US Nationals. Class is the right word to use when talking about Russ. He'll be missed!

We were having lunch today when Steve Ambrose got the call..
He was very emotional..but said Russ got to go to the Gators...this year!

Russ was a great guy and a great lover of Hockey, which means he was a smart man aswell. He would tell me how much the London Knights sucked on a regular basis. He will be truely missed by everyone that knew him. But at least he will get to see Ray again. RIP my friends.

Dear Comp Racers, Crews and Fans

I would like to say thank you all so very much. Russ is my Dad. I have been really overwhelmed by the racing community. If cell phones could blow up, then mine would be in small pieces. I want to thank a few people that really meant alot to my Dad and also to me in this very difficult time. To Steve Ambrose, Bob Huettman and Mauri Rose-You guys are the best. I appreciate all the advice and consoling me at this time. My Dad was very proud to be a member of the AA&H team and also to work with Mauri over the years. I will finalize the plans for a memorial service later this evening and will post this as soon as I get it all done. I look forward to seeing everybody at the memorial and for those that cannot attend, I will catch up to you at track. Thanks again to everyone. I feel proud that Dad was so loved by our community.

With sincere appreciation,

Steve Williams

Steve, sorry to hear about your Dad. He was a great guy and like a surrogate father to me when he toured with us. His laugh while telling a story was great. I was glad to hear that my Dad got to talk with him on Monday. A great guy that will be missed at the track. My prayers go out to you and your family.
