Pro Stock Motors

Jeff,
Are you saying P/S engines are available on ebay? I searched, but none came up. Is that where you buy all your stuff?

Bob Book is a great choice and he is about to have one of (if not the best) Pro Stock engine builders in the country going to work for him in about a month.....

Steve, Please feel free to call either Tom Martino or myself. Our new engine shop would be delighted to work with you in any way possible. You can reach us at:
MB Race Engines: 732-919-0024 or 914-741-5459

It seems that you need to learn how to search for motors. No one would pay 125k for that motor today. In fact, no one would pay 125k for the motor that won last weekend.

So your saying that if Jason Line put a for sale sign on his engine right after the race for $125,000 nobody would bite? I bet it would sell very fast....

You have to be joking . I cost 60 k to lease a motor for the weekend . I bet Jason`s motor out of the car at the track would bring 500 k .

I'm a Summit racing fan but I know I'm asking for a ass kicking as I'm nobody but I agree with some about the costs and the gains..my #1 bullet is currently with Sonny but I absolutely love my #2 bullet with Bob's carbs...as its so easy to tune and runs ok... but I too have to wonder in amazement how does one generates enough 500" power for a .959 60' without either incredible chassis tuning or a power adder of some sort?
Terry

Man I must really be out of the loop with regards to PS costs, cause 60K to rent a bullet for the weekend sounds crazy.

people would pay 125 grand all day for that motor...thats prob the going price to a 500 inch pro motor 10 years ago

Show me a sportsman racer willing to pay 125k for Line's motor and I'll show you a moron, because it'll be worth $25k in a month.

And, there is no chance what so ever that a sportsman racer or any racer would pay 500k unless he had just won the lotto or powerball, and even then he would be a moron.

Fools and their money shall part.

Good to see this thread getting some action though.

You must be out of the loop Steve . Cause there are racers that would spend that much and never worry about selling it later . They are not morons either and they don`t need to win the lotto . This seems odd comming from from a guy that sold a state of the art B/AA to buy a new BMW . What is that car worth now if you tryed to sell it now .
