I'm sure this isn't the first, and won't be the last time this is brought up, but what's the consensus on a Personal Index System?

In talking to some people, this seems to be met with a favorable response. Someone accross the country can't make your $150,000 car a $50,000 car over night.

It would be a significant change to the class, but it could drive the cost to run for points down and help cars keep their value.

Overall class indexes could be monitored by NHRA.

It seems the fear of someone else hitting your index and your car's value is a deterrent to some to enter the class. It also drives the cost of being competitive up.

What's your thoughts?
