I just heard that several indexes got wacked in the first round in Houston. Heckel & Williams are 2 of them that got it. Might me very interesting next round.

Yea, great idea-lets have a race in Houston in Feb !!!!!
The Comp racers get punished permanently for the great conditions.:(

I cant remember, Is a index hit 10 if you go 70 plus under in a round? If someone can let me know, that would be great. Thanks, comp6869

page 244---- 2007 NHRA rule book breaks it down

-61 -1
-62-2
-63-3
-64-4
-65-70 -5
-71-6
-72-7
-73-8
-74-9
-75-10
-76 & greater -10

Hope this helps---Comp 387

Was that worth it to hit the index 8 first round at a points meet. Going to be a few unhappy people with that one, including one right here.

Hey Craig and Jeff, we were one of the lucky ones who only had to go 60.8 under.

You know what's really scary is that the air's getting better, and eliminations will probably be finishing up after dark.

It's just getting started!

P.S.- Steve's about to go up and run second round. Oh, I might need to bring my coat with me. HA HA!!!!!!!!!

That would be a David Cook built engine, and heads from Lump Induction. Pretty impressive performance I agree! Yea I was probably a little dumb for going -.73 in the first round but i shut off at 900ft. and slid the brake from the first mph cone to the stripe I guess I could have shut off at the eighth mile or something. I understand you guys are upset I bashed your index but you can still go to h/a or for that matter put one carb on it and go to g/sm. Im goin to give you guys fair warning im going to Belle Rose with it in f/sm and if the weather conditions are close to the same as Houston then expect that class to be done and probably many others.

Chase

If you know you can go that fast, and knowing after destroying another index you are stuck in those two classes, why would you go? I'll bet you will be looking for that index in the summer.

Jeff

I was wondering if you are sitll able to run a super mod car in an altered class? And if so why, this is unfair to the altered classes.

And I thought all the clowns were at the Circus ?
You will miss that index sooner or later Circus Williams...I mean Chace

bashing indexes

Chase, Why would you go to a race just to kill indexes. I guess you are not planning on racing the rest of the year? Just curious as to why. There is a reason why more faster cars did not show up for this race in my opinion.

S/M in Altered

Is it not presumed that a S/M chassis and body is at some disadvantage to a tube car with a wind-tunnel designed body on it?
Therefore the switch from F/SM to H/A is of no consequence to the altered class. A full tenth in one weekend, at the start of the year, is one heavy hit......How much power in a 270 Chevy would you have to gain to cover that hit?

To whom it may concerned,First of all NO ONE wanted to hit ANY indexes at this race! We were put in this perdictiment by NHRA,they made the schedule not us,secondly NO ONE had it on the mat when the hit the indexes (that I know of)Most of us had weight in the car or some other way to try to slow them down.It was VERY fast here this weekend and ALL of us knew it.Chase has a fast car,and unless someone else other than Greg or Chase is paying for it then yall have no room to tell him how to race it.If he wants to run a -1.00 under on a red-light than so be it.GET OFF HIS ASS!

Show up to race or you don't have any reason to be there. Hey Dom; the circus tent is always open. You're welcome to join at any time.
David Cook

PS- Don't hate tha player; HATE THE GAME!!!!!!!

Im goin to give you guys fair warning im going to Belle Rose with it in f/sm and if the weather conditions are close to the same as Houston then expect that class to be done and probably many others.
No question who's paying for it..... Everybody ! Does that sound like someone protecting their class?

Shane, If John Chamberlin was there, took a nickle maybe more from B/D and left telling you that next week he's going to do it again in c/d or ? , What would you say?
