There is only 14 car in comp seems low to me . But s/s and stock has a lot of cars . I hope this is not a trend that keeps going .

We plan to run 4 div races and 3 nat races . Thank god our races is not far off races . Racing in Bay town 3 times and noproblem 2 times is luckey for us . We know we are not as competive as we would like . But we will be running the same old stuff nothing new are better .
Times are tough it will be a interesting race season both Pro & Sportsman classes. I think we have to thank our government for whats going on. Does anyone know if Dan Fletcher will be competing in comp this season?
With the way the field is now, I put "HEY YO VINNY" in the final.......... and how about Tony Bartone entered in TA/FC......... but like stated earlier, the lower classes are packed........
It appears that corporate sponsorships are under close scrutiny, leaving some with "race out of your pocket or not at all." Join the crowd.
I heard he will be driving for Rick again but they "say they wont be going after points" they want to to do more national events..... But u never know if they start out hot they may have to chase points
Thats ridiculous like Jumbo Shrimp. Fletch told me the same thing back in Vegas, but I have my doubts. I call bullshit If your not racing for points what are you racing for? Money? I was always under the impression that when you make it to the money rounds you are pretty much gathering points.

Rampy races ever year and don`t race for points . It means he is not going to fly from the east coast to race a div race . The math don`t add up to try to win another championship .

I'd bet 99% of all racer's will run within their division or close to it. The Braun team doesn't have much left to prove, so they probably will modify their schedule. The points race will take on a whole new look for 2009 and to that point....NHRA should remove all the class drops at the selected events, so as to allow everyone to go to the races that are close.

looking at the entry list,i realized where that big dust cloud came from....appears someone has been blowin the dust off some clutch discs!!
There is more T/F cars than comp cars . Let me see 13 cars means 2 by runs throw in 8 red lights wow what a show . Now let us leave comp alone some more .
No money to go forward, maybe give some of the old beat up indexes some back. I bet some marginal cars would come back to fill the show.
This is true Rick . A few years ago they use to do that . But now we have leave comp alone . If comp keeps getting left alone there will be nothing to leave alone . Giving back index may help may not help who knows but trying something is better than nothing .
Maybe everyone is saving their money becouse times are tough! Believe it are not , some people save money when times are tough.
