What will it take? to get you there...

OK Guys, we want to get you out to do some racing with the "OSBA". What will it take? We really want to hear what you have to say. There is no question that you Guys have some of the baddest small blocks in the world. Our goal is to get you out in a different venue where you can showcase your talents and keep the small block enthusiasm alive. Keep in mine, we are not the NHRA and we don't want to take anything from anyone. We do want to offer other racing opportunities to the small block racer. Remember we cannot have all the different classes that you are accustomed to, so we have to narrow things up a bit. The classes I see you running are Pro Stock & Extreme Modified...you may see something different. Check out the rules at: http://www.osbadrag.com/

What will make you come out and race on you off weekends???

Dale, Sure you can race with us. Your weight would put you in the Extreme Modified Class. Membership fee is $150.00 which covers 2 seasons. The money goes towards to helping the organization grow. We are looking for major sponsorship hopefully in the near future. Race entry is $85.00 for car and driver. Where are you located?

Unlimited class

If you allow Multiple camshaft style engines in your extreme class i.e. 4.6 and 5.4 Ford Modular engines we may check it out.

Hi Steve, we were just discussing the 4.6 & 5.4 engines a couple weeks ago. Strong possibility! You saw the rules for the E/M (extreme modified) does everything else work for a car like yours? Our goal is to keep the rules as simple as possible.

Can any of you Mod Motor guys make it to the October race at VMP? last race of the season and a great time to make decisions for the 2011 season.

Do you guys see a way to do this and not have too many classes...Remember it is all small blocks so that narrows the amount of cars (fields) considerable. What if we had a class would you run off of an index? Weight to C.I.? How can we make it happen and keep it exciting to the fans?
You can send me a PM if you don't want to answer here.

OK, only a couple of suggestions...how about this. We do a test at our September 11th race (Richmond Dragway, 1/8 mile) and again at VMP on October 9th (1/4 mile). If we get a decent car count and things looks good we shoot for 2011 as a new class. If not I will leave you alone and we continue as we are.

OSBA will still have it's regular classes and you are welcome to run in them.

Here is the test, pretty simple:

- One class (name TBD)
- .400 Pro Tree
- All Heads-up
- 6.5 pounds per cubic inch across the board

Anyone interested? Remember we are not trying to take you away from what you are doing...just adding some fun to you routine.

C/A on a protree I love it... 2 things though, due to alot of unfortunate luck this year we have lost 3 C/A cars, I think there was only like 7 or 8 in the country as it was... Second, bring that shit west as I am not really even gonna consider driving that far for 1/8th mile or a test....
