Unless the rule has changed, the adjustment won't take effect until that race is over. It's like having one in the bank huh Jerrry?

I too was under the impression that the adjustment didn't take place until the event was completed. Case in point, last year at the D4 event at Rusk, Brogdon had hit the index for the SM class he was in at the time (I think B/SM) at St. Louis the week before the event. However, the D4 event was a rainout resumption, so Brogdon was given the index that he had when the race started.

Its not in the rule book....BUT
Monday morning IS the new index ...regardless if the race is completed or not.
This was changed a few years back when Eaton hit his index 5 or so than had several months before the completion of the race.
At that time the new ruling took place and was never noted in the rule book.
it's a ruling...not a rule!
