Comp Code of Arms
- Comp is never going to get easier, only tougher each and every day - just like real life.
- Somebody will always have more power, more money, newer car, etc - called evolution / technology.
- If you want personal handicaping, try golf or horses - I don't know sh*t about either one but I'm sure their are forums out there to educate.
- Comp has always been the ultimate performance/ thinker/ tough guy/ ass kicker horsepower class - it's what keeps most of us chasing this sh*t.
- Is it perfect? No, but with proper tech and rule enforcement for all it could be better. This weekend our tech guy pumped half the field, checked wheelbase and other items to keep people honest.(not that anybody in comp is dishonest)
- If you think somebody' combo is bogus, grow some nads, put up the money and have it taken apart. If the guy's legit - he'll be happy to keep your money, if he's not, you get your money back and get to smile.
- Be happy comp is still around to be able to race, this sh*t is never going to be worth what you paid for it so get over it. Just like buying a new car and driving it off the lot.
- Work with NHRA to eliminate "grey areas" in the rules. Clearly define what transbrake switches are legal, lockup converters, electric timer shifters, etc.
- Hard work and dedication are supposed to be a virtue in this country, comp is no different, nobody is gauranteed a .70 under class, work hard at it just like Carter with his BND that everybody said wouldn't go .55 under and look for results.
- Any type of competitive motorsport is going to cost a fair amount of money, karts, boats, roundy-rounds, sprints, road race etc. - pick one and give it your best shot. Drag racing - especially comp is no exception.
- I don't have alot of money to piss off on comp and even less brains but since I went to Fremont Raceway in 1977 and saw comp run, I knew that someday that is what I wanted to do.
- Get back to working on your sh*t - quit reading this garbage and wear somebody' ass out next time.
