MBE LIttle Chief V CFE SBX Head

How would you chose between a MBE prepared LIttle Chief and the new CFE SBX cylinder head, engine would be a max effort 400 chev.

The 400" stuff that TRE builds for aussie ProStock are MBE little chiefs and they are really fast down there!

What about a comparisonn with the BAE billet head fo rthe small block chevrolet that i snow being produced as I hear that this is a hot ticket for the small block and BAE have them ready to go ?

Has anyone used these at all and can they be compared to the current MBE little chief and the SBX ?

Will let you know in 3 weeks!!!!!

we currently run the mbe lil cheif, and just we just got our cfe heads and intake. All that I can tell you is that after running the mbe for a year we are optimistic about finding more power with the cfe products.

TRE have been using the Little Chiefs and are currently the front runners of the field here in AUS.
There is a lot of talk that some want to change the rules to allow the new billet heads as they would be percieved as an advantage by those that have looked into them.

Billet heads are now legal for Aussie Pro Stock and soon enough they will be on cars running down the track.
The quickest Pro car in Australia has run 7.15 @ 191 @ 2300lb.
It uses 400" TRE power with the MBE Little Chief.

Maybe I should rephrase that to change the rule to not allow the billet heads because they could be a percieved advantage.

The BAE billet heads are based on a Carl Foltz (CFE) Pro Stock truck head from a few years ago, it was very welded up, then scanned and made in billet by BAE.
The NEW CFE head is an all new design, which makes me think even though billet sounds cool, its still an older CFE design.
I would talk to CFE and see what they say about it.
