Also What About Rod Lenght?

I Am Still Learning At 51 But,i Have Noticed The Rod Length Varies Greatly From Cup To Comp. Winston Cup Engine Builders Use Long Rods(6.300) & Pretty Standard Deck Height. But Some Of Comp Motor Specs I Have Seen Here Use Short Decks And Pretty Short Rods Or Is That Just A Cubic Inch Thing?

Top Secret Information

Steve - don't tell anybody where you heard this , but . . . a lot of drag race engines use a rod length-to-stroke ratio of about 1.7 to one. So if you have a 3-1/2 inch stroke, the rod length would be just about 6 inches. Hope this helps.
