Hey gang,

Next week's ND is our annual season preview, where we go class by class and talk about changes and expectations for the year ahead.

One of the topics is trends, and I'd like some feedback on what you think are continuing trends. Obviously, many teams (Butner/Taylor, Brogdon, etc.) will have multiple cars and, as discussed elsewhere, the flexibility to jump classes.

I also see an overwhelming success for the Super Mod cars. From Sonoma on last year, seven of the 10 national event winners were Super Mods, the exception being Treadwell (Indy, E/EA), Rampy (Vegas, A/EA), and Smithfield (BB/A) ... do we see that continuing?

Thanks

Phil

The SM classes were dominant on the divisional scene as well Phil. I do see that trend continuing during the 2006 season. The other classes have all but eaten up their indexes to the point its hard to gain ground. The open wheel cars don't have alot of lean way as far as jumping classes. Some of the new classes may have an advantage early on, but it will equal out.

Shane,

Good luck this year. Hows the car coming along? See you in Belle Rose?

Phil,
How about reeling in some of these awsome front engine Blown Good Guy cars. Will suggested a AA\ND class.

consistency

i was told by a top super mod team owner that one of the reasons why the sm cars were dominating is they are much more consistent than other combos...

any truth to that?

downside is running the mid 8's in a door car has to be hard to see a mid to low 7 second car coming on you....six second, forget it.....

Harry

Car is almost done should crank it up thursday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Seen your new body it looks GREAT!We will be in Belle Rose come by and have an adult beverage!!!

As Will said, the consistency of the SM cars really helps them out............ and I think that their weight helps them on the marginal divisional tracks...........
